THINKING ABOUT YOUR FIRST ACTIVITY

Start focused.
Prepare with care.

After discussing your proposal with us, use this checklist to plan your activity.

  • Who is the activity for, and what should participants learn?
  • Who will host, and what dates, space, and permissions need to be agreed?
  • Which materials, volunteer roles, and practical arrangements are needed?
  • How will adults supervise activities and support children’s participation?
  • How will you gather feedback and document the activity with appropriate permission?

BEFORE YOU APPLY

Chapter questions,
answered.

Do I need a team before applying?

The interest form asks for a proposed team of at least three core leaders and two general members. If you are still forming a team, contact @eclipselearns to discuss your situation.

Can I propose a chapter at my school or in my city?

The form asks about your school or city. Describe the community you hope to work with and the local opportunities you see; the team will discuss the proposal with you.

How often should a chapter organize activities?

Share a realistic proposed frequency in the form. Confirm current expectations with EclipseLearns rather than committing your team to a schedule it cannot sustain.

Does submitting the form mean our chapter is approved?

The form starts a conversation. Wait for the team to confirm the next steps and chapter arrangements before presenting your group as an official EclipseLearns chapter.

How can our team use STEMEdu materials?

Browse the learning library, then request an access code from @eclipselearns. Discuss how you want to use, adapt, or distribute the materials with the team.

How will EclipseLearns contact us?

The chapter interest form says the team will follow up through Instagram. Make sure the account you provide is accurate and check your message requests.
